Office on Musgrave Road

Our office project on Musgrave Road is proceeding nicely. The Main Contractor is moving along quickly and we took some photos of the progress on site.

We are now busy with the decisions regarding the finishes such as paint colours, floor finishes, glazing, shopfitting and signage. Wallpaper has been ordered as well as the furniture in preparation for the final decorating.

Jossi Design will keep checking the progress as part of our site supervision and photos will be posted periodically to show how the project is moving forward.

Jossi Design Birthday

Jossi Design celebrated our birthday the first week in July. It has been a long and hard 2 years but thanks to our incredible staff Jossi Design has been a great success in such a short space of time. We all look forward to what the next 2 years are going to bring.

We are currently working on a renovation of a house in Vause Road. We have totally redesigned the kitchen, son's bathroom and guest toilet to create a more comfortable and practical interior space.

Of course the aim is also to create a beautiful interior and we have put together fabrics, tiles, mosaics, paint colours and sanware which will all complement the interior.

The house is also being repainted and the Dining Room redecorated. We will keep you up to date with the progress and will post the final outcome after completion.

Less is More

This week I am posting some photos of a decorating job we have been involved in. The apartment is located on La Lucia Ridge, and the client wanted a very simple Zen feel with clean line and little pattern. The focus here was to soften the space with the fabrics, curtaining and acessories.

The Main Bedroom has been accented with a bit of colour, as before is was very white and stark. Stainless steel curtain rods with glass ball ends add to the contemporary feel of the apartment.

Finally, I have not given a design tip in a while... so here it goes: When decorating your house remember to keep it simple. Do not clutter or complicate the space - remember in most cases 'less is more'!

La Lucia House Update

Another update on the House in La Lucia: Above is a photo we took of the lounge area. The use of travertine tiles, stainless stainless steel and soft carpeting combine to create an open but comfortable entertaining space.

The lighting has been specifically chosen to create feature in certain areas, whereas in other spaces the lighting is purely functional. While the interior design and decorating of the rest of the house is very contemporary in nature, the main bedroom is alot warmer and traditional in nature. This is mainly due to the fabric chosen, the use of wallpaper behind the headboard and in panels on the Built in Cupboards, and the use of more classical furniture.
