Can wait to see once all the light fittings have been installed, we have chosen some stunning fittings!

Decorex 2011 - Trends & Tastes

Not only was Jossi Design responsible for creating a stand for the IID, we also took the opportunity to promote ourselves at the show. With so many interior designers exhibiting we decided to push the boundaries and do something completely different - maximum impact with minimal fuss!

Not a problem for the creative team at Jossi Design, all we needed was:

1x "Zarina" armchair from Andreu (supplied by Cobin Meubilair)
1x "Tolomeo" floor lamp by Artemide (supplied by Cobin Meubilair)
1x "Westminister" carpet in black (supplied by Belgotex)
1x Extension cord
1x Can of red spray paint

Result!

Decorex 2011 - Trends & Tastes

As regional head of the IID (South African Institute of the Interior Design Professions) in KwaZulu Natal, it falls on Jocelyn to arrange the stand at the annual Decorex show in Durban. With the outstanding organisational skills of our office manager, Natalie, we were able to put together an amazing stand.

The results speak for themselves!

Spiga D'Oro on Florida Road

Yes it has been a while but Jossi Interior Design's blog is finally back on track.  The year got off to a busy start and we have been a bit behind with our updates but here is a preview of Spiga D'Oro on Florida Road.

These pictures are taken of the Piazza, or the back outdoor area near the water fountain.  It is a beautiful setting for dinner, and very vibrant but casual atmosphere for lunch.

The new look has a slightly industrial feel with concrete floors and ceilings, lights which are only metal arms and large oversized light bulbs, and painted exposed metal beams all form vital parts of the design.

The Piazza area is made up of various levels, creating different types of seating.  Cafe tables and chairs are located around the fountain with the bar on the one side, booth seating is further towards the end under the concrete slab (complete with wine cellar with glass doors).  Above the slabbed area is another casual open dining area with great views of the fountain below.  Then there is another level where old fashioned mirrors and booth seating create a more private dining experience.

This was a wonderful project to work on and we hope to have many more like it!
